Gracie Torres Rodriguez, 62, of Big Spring, went to be with her Savior on December 23, 2017. Gracie was born in Alpine, Texas to Leonor Torres Cano and Eleno Cano on March 1, 1955.
While her time was cut shorter than expected, Gracie left her mark on everyone she met. It was for this reason that Gracie was known for bringing a smile to every face she encountered. Among many things, Gracie will be missed for her optimism and love of life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and found the most joy in her grandchildren. Gracie was married in 1995 to Ruben Rodriguez and they lived happily together until his departure in 2009. Gracie worked at Price Construction in Big Spring for over twenty-two years. The Price Construction family were essential to her happiness outside of her own family.
Gracie is preceded in death by her husband Ruben Rodriguez and her mother Leonor Cano.
Gracie leaves her legacy with her sons, Rodolfo Sotelo and his wife Roxanne Sotelo, and Rojelio Sotelo and his wife America Sotelo. Her siblings Eleno Cano Jr and wife Esther, Tina Aguilar, Anita Vela and her husband Frank Vela Sr., Debbie Rodriguez and her husband Manuel Rodriguez, Lupe Valenzuela and her husband Mike Valenzuela, Lisa Cano, Edward Cano and his wife Anita Cano. Her grandchildren, Amaralee Gamboa and her husband J.D. Gamboa, Natalie Sotelo, Felipe Sotelo, Andres Sotelo, and Nikolas Sotelo. Her great grandchildren Alex and Eviahna. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Kendrick Vela, Joe Vela, Robert Sotelo, Alex Ligon Jr., Juan Aguilar Jr., Victor Cano, Felipe Sotelo, and Tony Olvera.
The family of Gracie wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who impacted her life and maintained her wellness before she joined the Lord.

Gracie was one of the best women I have ever met in my life. With my mom working at Price Construction with her since we were little, we grew up knowing and loving Gracie so much. As we got older and had our own children, she would always come up to us with a huge hug and her loving smile. Gracie you will be missed by so many of us still on earth, but one day we will reunite in Heaven with you. Prayers to all of your family during this difficult time.
