Latashia Lyvette Thompson, 37, passed away November 9, 2018 in Monahans, Texas. Tashia was born on May 29, 1981 to VJ and Louis Willis in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas with Pastor Jeppie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Tashia graduated from Monahans High School in 1999. She was a cook by trade. Tashia enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved and adored the time she had with Ayla, her grandbaby.
Tashia is preceded in death by her father; George Louis Willis, her grandmother; Jimmie F. Lane, her grandfather; Sammy Lee Thompson, and her uncle; Albert McAfee.
She is survived by her children; Tomei Rhea Juarez, Tre Gomez, her mother; VJ Willis, her siblings; Latonya Blake, Mark Thompson, Dominique Estorga, Brenton Wallace, Quincy Jackson, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Allen McGee, Garney Smith, Quincy McGee, Ruben Rodriguez, Thomas Muniz, and Robert Vasquez.
The family of Latashia wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Harkey Funeral Home, Monahans Police Department, Kris Quintana, Texas Ranger Phillip Breeding, Focus Care of Monahans and staff. The whole community has been amazing, and the family is very blessed to be a part of such a community. Thank you all for the donations to lay Tashia to rest in such a beautiful way.
