Jose Jimenez

December 16, 1958 — November 18, 2022

Monahans, Texas

Jose Alejandro Jimenez, 63, of Monahans, passed away on 11/18/2022 in Lubbock, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2022, at Cornerstone Church 2410 S. Stockton, Monahans, TX with Pastor Stan Huffty officiating. Interment to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Jose was born in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pilar Maese Jimenez and Carmen Martinez Tepezano on December 16, 1958.

He went to school at Morelos in Juarez, Chihuahua. He married Elizabeth Leal on July 17, 1977, in Juarez. He worked all things oilfield, from roustabout, to floorhand, to hotshot driver on pulling units and drilling rigs for over 40 years, his last job at BP Supply of Monahans was a blessing he said. He was a veteran of the Mexican Army and was proud of his service but always wished that he could have been younger as a U.S. Citizen to be a U.S. Soldier, but he made up for it in being a true Patriot and supporter of all U.S. Troops.

His pride and joy were to always be the best supporter and provider for his family and friends and any stranger that was in need. He had plenty of advice to give and gave it with a huge heart full of love.

He came to Christ broken in his soul and was restored, taken into Eternal Life as a child of God.

Jose is preceded in death by his son, Pablo Jimenez; father, Pilar Maese Jimenez; mother, Carmen Tepezano Cantrell; uncles, Jose, Pablo, Pilo; aunt, Maria; grandmother, Agustina Martinez Tepezano; and many more.
