Adan Yuseff Ortiz-Torres

Adan Yuseff Ortiz Torres, age 29, passed away tragically on May 11, 2025, in Monahans, Texas. He was born on February 18, 1996, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Maria Dolores Torres Rodriguez and Jose Adan Ortiz.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Harkey Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Harkey Funeral Home.

Adan worked as a pumper in the oil field and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He was passionate about working on cars and riding his motorcycle, and he loved collecting rocks—each one a small treasure to him. More than anything, Adan cherished time with his family, especially moments spent with his beloved son. He had a big heart, a warm smile, and a love of food—rice bowls, birria tacos, and, most of all, steaks were among his favorites.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackelin Santos; his son, Javier Adan Ortiz Torres; his mother, Maria Dolores Torres Rodriguez; his brother, Dener Eli Urias Torres; and the entire Torres family who are in Mexico with their hearts broken, for the loss of a great loved one.

He is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Elena, who is waiting for him with open arms in heaven; they can now be together for eternity and beyond; his uncles, Jesus and Eduardo; his cousins, Daniel, Jaime, and Jorge; his grandmother, Guadalupe; his grandfather, Antonio.

Adan will be remembered for his big heart, his adventurous spirit, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
