It is with a heavy heart and a spirit filled with gratitude that we announce the passing of Alicia A. Ordonez, who departed this life peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on April 15, 1945, Alicia brought joy, warmth, and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her, residing in her beloved Monahans, Texas.
Alicia was a radiant soul whose laughter and kindness touched many lives. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the thrill of playing bingo and the excitement of visiting casinos during her younger days. Her love for flowers echoed her vibrant personality, reminding everyone of her whimsical spirit and appreciation for beauty in the world. Above all, Alicia cherished her family, a bond that defined her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love as she is survived by her devoted spouse, Fernando H. Ordonez Sr., her son, Fernando A. Ordonez Jr., daughter, Cindy Armendariz, and son, Scott Ordonez. Her memories will live on through her grandchildren: Julian Vincent, Nathaniel Christian, Milagros Denali Armendariz, and Sophia Elena Ordonez, each one carrying a piece of her spirit with them.
Alicia’s life will be celebrated through a Mass at St. John Catholic Church on May 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, an occasion for family and friends to come together in honor of her remarkable journey. Prior to that, a public viewing will be held at Harkey Funeral Home on May 1, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at , allowing loved ones to pay their respects and share cherished memories of Alicia.
