Armando Monclova Madrid Sr., 70, of Monahans, Texas, was born July 10, 1955, in Pecos, Texas, and peacefully passed away at home on February 11, 2026. He was born to Joe Flores Madrid and Faye Monclova.
Armando was a kind, caring, and helpful man who never met a stranger. Those who knew him quickly became lifelong friends. He was truly a jack of all trades, working on cars, in construction, and in woodworking. He had a unique ability to take the simplest things and turn them into something meaningful. Always on the go, Armando enjoyed cruising around town listening to his favorite song, Neon Moon, or spending time at home feeding and talking to his beloved cats, especially Mr. Kitty and Garfield, who faithfully followed him everywhere. He could often be found at his favorite store, Tractor Supply, or spending cherished time with his sister and best friend, Yolanda. The two were inseparable and shared a bond that was truly special.
Armando was preceded in death by his eldest son, Armando Madrid Jr.; his two great-grandsons, Zryan Madrid and Jeremy J. Madrid Jr.; his sister, Esther Armendariz; and his brothers, Albert Madrid, Joe Madrid Jr., and Peter Jacquez.
He is survived by his son, Isaac Madrid and wife, Renee; his daughter, Jennifer Inman and husband, Michael; his sisters, Yolanda Navarette and fiancé Oscar Martinez of Monahans, Elodia Barreno and husband, Raul of Stanton, and Susie Madrid and husband, Melvin of Pecos. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Jeremy Madrid, Patrick Madrid, Isaac Madrid Jr., Michael Inman Jr., Billy Jack Inman, Justice Madrid, Liberty Madrid, Phoebe Inman, Sophie Inman, and Briana Cordova; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Madrid, Jeremy Madrid, Patrick Madrid, Michael Inman Jr., Isaac Madrid Jr., Billy Jack Inman, Devin Carrasco, and Ismo Reyes.
