Betsy Bailey

Betsy "Starlett" Bailey, 63, of Monahans, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Ward Memorial Hospital. She was born February 18, 1952 in Camden, Arkansas to Robert and Bobbie (Cagle) Vaughan.

Starlett married Reggie Bailey on January 23, 1973 in Snyder. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching all of their sports activities.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Vaughan.

Starlett is survived by her husband of 42 years, Reggie Bailey of Monahans; son, James Bailey and wife Jamie of Monahans; daughter, Regina Slade and husband Chad of Monahans; mother, Bobbie Vaughan of Snyder; brothers, Gayland Vaughan and wife Debbie and Dennis Vaughan and wife Sherry, all of Snyder; sisters, Bonnie McDorman of Snyder and Velda Waliky and husband Bob of Center Pointe; and 5 grandchildren, Kimberly and Brenton Bailey and Baily, Haily and Gavin Slade.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Larry McAden officiating. James Bailey, Chad Slade, Ron Bailey, Brenton Bailey, Gavin Slade, Jesse Acosta, and Marcus Contreras will serve as pallbearers.
