Bobby Hardaway

Ray Hardaway, son of Shirley Hardaway and Bob Hardaway was born on December 19, 1958 in Monahans, Texas.
He attended Monahans schools and was a graduate of Monahans High School.
Ray made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ at 9 years of age and attended Southside Baptist in Monahans.
Ray married Susan Caldwell Hardaway on April 23, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent his early years working on Granddad's farm outside of Hobbs, New Mexico, he baled hay, fed cows, drove a tractor and shot rabbits. He worked many years as an Electrician Supervisor.
Ray loved riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing pitching horseshoes and frying catfish. He loved to go on cruises, and last year he got to go skydiving in Aruba. One highlight of the last 9 years was spending time with his grandson Benjamin. Ray will be missed greatly by his dog Sally.
Ray quietly departed this life on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at Madison Medical Resort in Odessa.
Ray was preceded in death by his father Bob Hardaway and brother Richard Hardaway.
Ray is survived by his wife of 15 years, Susan Hardaway, daughter Mariah Hardaway, son Matthew Hardaway and grandson Benjamin Leeson. mother, Shirley Hardaway, sister Genie Plumlee and husband John, sister-in-law, Jill Hardaway, sister, Susie Hyman and husband Mike.
Mother-in-law Cindy Johnson, father-in-law, Jerry Caldwell and wife Paula, brother-in-law, Kelly Caldwell, uncles, Donny and Tommy Hardaway and aunt, Judith McCoy and husband Charlie and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday March 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, TX with Minister Josh Rieff officiating
