Buford Milton Humphries, Colonel (USAF Retired) passed away August 8, 2022.

He is survived by his four children: Harrison Humphries (Adela), Betty Turner, Barbara Knott  -all of Monahans -and Patricia Hoyt (Jim) of Austin, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, and second wife, Pauline.

A career military officer, he saw combat duty in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. During his career he logged a total of 6500 pilot hours and 1100 hours as a navigator. He retired in 1971 and resided in El Paso and Odessa until he moved to Monahans in 2010.

He graduated from the University of Texas with honors and is a Life time Texas EX, Member Number 91.  He was a true Longhorn fan, Dallas Cowboy fan and Texas Ranger fan.

Graveside services will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors on Friday August 12 at 9:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Mission Dorado Baptist Church, 4142 Faudree Road, Odessa, TX. 79765
