Christine Bell

February 16, 1933 — January 14, 2017

Christine Allen Bell peacefully went to be with the Lord with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren by her side on January 14, 2017 at Edgewater Care Center in Kerrville. Texas. She was born on February 16, 1933 in Jacksonville, Texas to single mother Zena Mae Allen. At the age of 3, Christine and her sister, Geraldine, were left at a day care center by their mom and step dad. Christine and her sister were awarded to the state of Texas and grew up in various foster homes and attended school in Lindale, Texas. At the age 16 and 17 Christine and her sister rode a train to West Texas in search of their mom. They both took up residence in Monahans at this time with their mom and stepdad. Christine met Hermon Bell and they were married on September 24, 1953 in Kermit, Texas. In July, 1957, they adopted their only child, Pam Bell Carson. They moved to Monahans shortly after, where they lived the reminder of their lives until Christine was moved to the nursing home in Kerrville in order to be close to her daughter. Christine was a housewife whose main goal was to insure that her husband and daughter had the best lives she could offer them. She was an awesome cook and she was active in the Southside Baptist Church in her younger years. She dearly loved her grandchildren with all her heart and soul. She was very close to her oldest half-sister, Geraldine. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Bell, who passed in September, 2002, half-sister and lifelong friend, Geraldine Strickland, who passed in May, 2016, one other half sister, Betty Sue Butler, and two half-brothers, Ronald Wayne "Buddy" Liles and William Howard "Bill" Liles. Christine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Robbie Carson, of Hunt, Texas. One grandson, Chris Carson, of Rosenberg, Texas and his girlfriend, April Braden of St. Lawrence, Texas, One granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Kirk Card of Edmond, Oklahoma and three great-grandsons, Daelyn, Brennan and Brett Card all of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is also survived by half brothers and sister, Charley Robert "Bobby" Liles and wife Verdie, Johnny Ray Liles and wife Paula, and Tandolyn Kay Mazy and husband James, along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
