Clinton Roy Pierson

Clinton Roy Pierson, age 90, of Monahans, passed away at home with family on July 11, 2023. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 15th at Monahans Memorial Cemetery pavilion with Pastor Gordon Cox of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating.   

Clinton was born in Clifton, TX to Oren and Johnnie Pierson on August 8, 1932.  He was married to Margie on July 1, 1956 in Seminole, TX.  He worked as a lineman for Texas Electric/Oncor Electric Company and retired after 35 years.  He was a charter member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church.  He was well known for his love of old cars, especially Model As and Model Ts.   

Clinton is preceded in death by his parents Oren and Johnnie Pierson, his brothers O.J. Pierson and Jimmy Pierson; sisters Hazel Snider and Gloria Tucker; son Cris Pierson; daughter-in-law Robin Pierson; and granddaughter Tara Mobbs.  

Clinton is survived by wife Margie Pierson; their children and spouses, Steve Pierson and wife Betty, Cynthia Mobbs and husband Allen, Scott Pierson and wife Bessie, and daughter-in-law Stephanie Pierson; his brothers Daniel Pierson and wife Maggie, and Edward Pierson and wife Jean; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.   

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Baptist Church Missions Fund or a charity of your choice.
