Dolores Ochoa

Dolores Ortiz Ochoa, 66, of Monahans, Texas went home to the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2019. She was born in Alpine, Texas on May 6, 1952, and was raised in Terlingua, Texas until the age of nine. She lived in Alpine, Pecos, and lastly in Monahans, where she passed away at Ward Memorial Hospital. Dolores was known for her strong Christian faith and helping people in need. She originated "Mission Room" where people can still obtain second-hand clothing next to Ward County Greater Works in 112 E. Sealy in Monahans and was a Home Health Nurse with Ward Memorial Hospital. Dolores also worked at Alco #161. Dolores is preceded in death by her loving parents; Ruben G. Ortiz, and Josefa Hinojos, and her dog Ziggy. She is survived by her loving husband; Manuel "Alvie" Ochoa, daughters; Yvette, Selena, and Nissy, sisters; Carmen Ortiz Olibas, Josie Ortiz, brother in laws; Albert Ochoa, Pascual G. Olibas, Ismael "Ish" Salcido, sister in laws; Anna, Jenny, Rosemary, Martha, five granddaughters, four grandsons, and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving three nephews, three nieces, all their children (on her side), and several on her husband's side. The family will have a private viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and public viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019, and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Harkey Funeral Home located at 210 S. Allen in Monahans, Texas. Her life will be celebrated at Grace Fellowship located at 1200 S. Wilma at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 and services will be officiated by her "Brother Mark Bristow". There will not be a graveside service following the service. Pallbearers will be Cleve Olibas, Glen Dutchover, Ismael Salcido, Esai Luis Natera, Albert Ochoa, Ruben Segura, Amy Dutchover.
