Dustin Erskine

Dustin Queet Erskine he was born in Odessa, Texas on August 7, 1986 to John and Katherine Erskine of Wink, Texas and welcomed into this world by his brother John Derek Erskine. He attended school in Wink, TX and graduated from Wink High School in 2005. He attended Big Spring Jr. College and Tarleton State University. He was a cowboy from the day he born winning his first buckle when he was 3 years old from the West Texas Trail Riders for the youngest rider to make the entire 4 day ride from Ft. Davis to Pecos on his own horse Dipstick and then rode in the Pecos Rodeo Parade. He participated in the Tri County 4H Horse Shows, AJRA, High School Rodeo Association, and College Rodeo. He was also very successful as a team roper, winning many saddles and buckles. He was employed by Garland Pumping Service for a short time until his health no longer permitted him to work. He also loved working on the family ranches as much as his health permitted. After a bout with a long illness, on November 22nd, Dustin decided to catch a good horse and ride on ahead of us to be with our Father in heaven.
He is survived by his parents, John and Katherine Erskine of Pyote, Texas., his brother, sister-in-law, and niece, Derek, Brittany, and Luka Erskine of Monahans, Texas, his Grandmother, Evelyn Adickes of Conroe, Texas, his Aunt, Virginia Adickes of Conroe, Texas., his Grandfather, Tom Erskine of Houston, Texas, his Aunt, Jane Erskine, of Houston, Texas, his Aunt and Uncle, John and Karen Monroe, of Gonzales, Texas, and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Locke Erskine, his Grandfather, Melvin Adickes, and his Uncle, Bruce Adickes.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Pecos Rodeo Arena officiating Jean Riley of 1st United Methodist Church in Wink, Texas and Billy Riley , lunch will be afterwards in the Civic Center, both located at 1520 S.
