Dwayne Light, 85, of Monahans, passed away on December 9, 2025 surrounded by family members in Glen Rose Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for December 17, 2025 at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements Provided by Harkey Funeral Home.

Dwayne was born in Bradford, Arkansas, to parents Troy and Sarah Light. His siblings were twin brother Wayne, older brothers W.R. and Albert. He had one sister, Aileen. A longtime resident of Monahans, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Hubbard Light, stepdaughter, Cheri Neel Fletcher, and stepson Gilbert Neel. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter Sandra Neel Fryer and stepson Alan Neel. Also preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Dwayne worked in the oilfields of West Texas until his retirement. His biggest hobby was working with and repairing electronics. He never met a radio, TV, or VCR he couldn’t repair. Dwayne was a big enthusiast of the Texas Lottery scratch-off tickets. He also enjoyed playing slot machines at the casinos, watching football, flying drones and wood working. He leaves behind ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
