Edmundo Fred Sanchez

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Edmundo Fred Sanchez, 65, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. Edmundo, born on April 15, 1958, peacefully departed this world on February 22, 2024, in Odessa, TX, surrounded by loved ones. Edmundo was known for his love of music, dedication to helping others, and his passion for the Dallas Cowboys and old western films.

A devoted individual, Edmundo reveled in the gratification of a job well done, relishing in the praises that followed his tireless efforts. His caring nature, unwavering dedication, and love for his loved ones left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.  But above all, his greatest love was reserved for his grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly.

Edmundo is preceded in death by his father, Pedro R. Sanchez Jr.

He leaves behind his beautiful mother, Angelina Acosta Sanchez; his sons, Jon James Sanchez, Ray Adan Sanchez, and Christopher Anthony Sanchez; His brothers, Johnny Sanchez and Tommy Sanchez; His sisters, Anita Hernandez, Cecelia Sanchez, and Elsa Marquez; His grandchildren, Leila, Alyssa, Alexis, Jadrian, Rayj,Nia, Richlee, Giselle Renae, and Nayeli Grace.         

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Harkey Funeral Home from noon to 8:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. To celebrate the life of Edmundo Fred Sanchez, a Mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM; interment to follow immediately after the mass at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers are as follows: Richlee, Johnny, Jeff, John, Jason, Jadrian, J.J., and Rayj.

In honor of Edmundo's memory, let us come together to commemorate a life well-lived, a spirit well-loved, and a legacy that will forever endure in our hearts. Rest in peace, Edmundo Fred Sanchez, your light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those you touched.
