Fay Harris

Fay Laverne Harris, 80, of Grandfalls passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at her residence.

She was born November 29, 1934 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Alvin and Fay (Templeton) Knight. She married Tommy Harris on September 6, 1952. She worked for Furr's meat market for many years.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Grandfalls with Donnie Rollie officiating. Burial will follow at Tamarisk Cemetery. Family will receive friends at a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Harkey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Youngs of Grandfalls, Sharon Tice and husband Bennie of Stinnette, and Patty Mann and husband Chuck of Odessa; 1 brother, Leonard Knight and wife Annette of Monahans; 2 sisters, Vella Wall of Kermit and Doylene Ferguson and husband Gary of Odessa; 4 grandchildren, James Dyche, Misty Heater and husband Charlie, Mindy Tice, and Lindsey Clark and husband Sam; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Harris and her parents, Alvin and Fay Knight.
