Felipe Yanez

Felipe Yanez, 58, passed away in his home on November 11, 2016.

Felipe was born May 26, 1958 in San Felipe De Jesus, Mexico where he was raised. He moved to Monahans in the late 1970's and began a career in the oilfield. He worked as a floor hand in the oilfield for 35 years and most recently at Liberty Pump and Supply for nine years.


He married Rosa Armendariz May 3, 1980 in Monahans. He enjoyed dancing, watching and attending Texas Ranger's games. His favorite activity was spending time and playing with his grandsons, Evan and Aviel. When he was not working, Felipe kept busy working on his yard and washing his vehicles. He was a great husband to his wife Rosa and father to his daughters Marisol and Maribel. He was recently baptized as a Christian at Rosa De Saron in Monahans, Texas.

Felipe is survived by his wife Rosa Yanez of Monahans, Texas, two daughters, Maribel Yanez of Odessa, Texas, Marisol Espinoza of Odessa, Texas, two grandsons, Evan Espinoza of Odessa, Texas, Aviel Espinoza of Odessa, Texas, five sisters, Elodia Yanez of Mexico, Christina Yanez of Mexico, Cony Cordova of Mexico, Yolanda Yanez of Mexico, Juana Porras of Monahans, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rogelio and Estreberta Yanez, three brothers, Socorro Yanez, Severiano Yanez, Evaristo Yanez, and a sister, Leonarda Yanez.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016 at Rosa De Saron in Monahans, Texas, Officiating will be Edmundo Hernandez. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016, and Prayer service will be at 4:00p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016.
