Glenda Contreras

Glenda Contreras, 71 of Monahans, passed away in Odessa, TX on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Harkey Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Monahans at 10 am with Pastor Chris Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Glenda was born September 19, 1946 in Haskell, TX to the late Roy C and LaVerne (Warden) Neel. She married Marcus Contreras. Glenda was a school bus driver for the Monahans Public School system for many years.

Glenda is also preceded in death by a brother, Brian Warden and a grandson, Manuel Huertas.

Survivors include; her husband, Marcus Contreras, of Monahans, children; Rhonda and Phillip Gonzales of Monahans, Emmett and Serena Smith of Leonard, TX, Natasha and Roger Ramirez of Kaufmann, TX, Marcus and Gladiz Contreras of Monahans, and Amber and Mike Gonzales of Monahans, step-children; Liza Contreras of San Antonio, TX and Amy Contreras of Houston, TX, sister, Lana and Elias Franco of Monahans, brothers; Gayland and Teresa Neel of Hawkins, TX, Gary and Nell Neel of Alpine, TX, Jessie and Rhonda Warden of Monahans and Michael Williams of Forney, TX, Step-father, Jack Warden of Monahans, 14 grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, 4 Great-Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
