James Hall

James Ernest Hall, age 78 passed from this life on June 2, 2017 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa TX. Jim was born on January 2, 1939 In Glenn, Texas to parents, Henry E. and Callie May (Clifton) Hall. James (Jim) married Reba Rand on March 9, 1973, and made their home in Wickett. Jim was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wickett Since 1985, and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was deeply involved in the church, and was a strong influence on the lives of many adults and children. Jim was an oilfield chemical technician for Baker Petrolite where he retired. He also loved fishing and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. His family remembers him as a wonderful father, beloved (Pop) and an excellent provider.
He was preceded in death by his wife Reba, parents, and his brother Kenneth Lefevre. Jim is survived by his brothers , Stanley and wife Shirley Lefevre of Plainview, Texas, Bruce and wife Dorothy Lefevre of Roaring Springs, Texas, Edward (Ed) and wife Faye Hall of Burnett, Texas, sister Melba and Husband George Gray of Robert Lee, Texas, Sheila Lefevre of Roaring Springs, Texas, Sons Robert (Bob} and wife Lanette Hall of Westminster, Colorado, Michael W. Hall Westminster, Colorado, Michael D. and wife Wyndie Hall, of Temple, Texas, Daughter, Laura and Husband Tommy Venters of Mont Belvieu, Texas; Grandchildren Christopher and wife Jordan Hall, Adrian Matthew and wife Paula Hall, Leila-Faye Hall, Jace Venters, Neely Venters, Gordon Hall, Nichole Hall, Nicholas Hall; ten great� grandchildren. A memorial service and celebration of Jim's life is being held at the First Baptist Church of Wickett on June 16 at 10am with James Waskom officiating. Jim and his wife were hospice volunteers for many years, making stained glass angels to honor each hospice angel who passed. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Home Hospice of Odessa in his memory.
