James Lewis Hernandez, 39, passed away on September 1, 2017 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. James was born in Dade City, Florida to Rosa A. Salazar on January 18, 1978.
James worked for Azteca Fabrication as a painter, and was very talented at what he did. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fans, and enjoyed all football games. James was a true family man, always enjoyed barbequing for his family and friends. He was known as "Smiley" for having the most memorizing smile anyone has seen. James was a wonderful son, uncle, and most of all father.
James is survived by his loving fiancé; Felicia Marquez of Monahans, Texas, son; Ismael Marquez, Jr of Monahans, Texas, daughters; Crystal Hernandez and husband Noe of Denton, Texas, Ruby Hernandez of Krum, Texas, Estrella Hernandez of Krum, Texas, Brianna Marquez of Monahans, Texas, Julyssa Marquez of Monahans, Texas, new arrival, Janessa Hernandez, mother; Rosa A. Salazar and husband Arturo of Monahans, Texas, brothers; Luis Salazar and wife Blanca of Odessa, Texas, Jerry Joe Salazar and wife Maria of Denton, Texas, sisters; Michelle Hernandez Valdez and husband Bruno of New Fairview, Texas, Olivia Salazar of Sanger, Texas, Olga Martinez and husband Leo of Denton, Texas, three grandsons, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one daughter; Jasmine Hernandez, and his grandparents.
