Jessie Urias

Jessie Javier Urias, 35, of Monahans, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 in Odessa. He was born September 11, 1980 in Odessa to Jose Javier Urias and Mary Isabel Dominguez.

He married Elena Urias on June 16, 2004 in Odessa and worked as an oilfield electrician. Jessie enjoyed people and would stop and talk to anyone, no matter where he went. He was very outgoing and had such a colorful personality. He liked making people laugh, and was able to lighten the mood, even in the most difficult situations. He enjoyed dancing and was the master of his own moves. He loved listening to music and gatherings with family and friends. Just as family was important to Jessie, so were family values, which he reinforced by actively attending Crossroads Fellowship Church. He lived for his wife and children and was a wonderful husband and father. His children were his life and he always had them with him. Jessie touched the lives of many and will be missed, but never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jesus and Cruz Urias; and maternal grandparents, Jessie Dominguez and Juana Hernandez.

Jessie is survived by his wife, Elena Urias of Monahans; sons, Victor Moses Fraga of Fort Worth, and Javier Antonio Urias, Diego Enrique Urias, and Daniel Armando Urias, all of Monahans; mother, Mary Isabel Dominguez of Odessa; father, Jose Javier Urias and wife Sandra of Ulysses, KS; brothers, Joel Urias and wife Yuliana of Odessa, Jose Luis Urias and wife Kayla of Ulysses, KS, Angel Urias and wife Dorely of Odessa, and Xavier Urias of Ulysses, KS; sister, Jissele Urias of Ulysses, KS; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Rosary will be recited Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 1 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Isaac Denson officiating, followed by burial at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Jessie's parents and brothers will all serve as pallbearers. Sons, Victor Fraga and Javier Urias will be honorary pallbearers.
