John Chance

John Peter Chance, 47, of Monahans, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Monahans Managed Care Center. He was born January 13, 1968 in Monahans to Claude Price and Frances (Ramirez) Chance.

He held several different jobs, including fast food, was a bagger at Lowe's, and worked at Best Made Design. He enjoyed singing and dancing and was a caring person.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Frances Chance; and brother, Charles Branch.

John is survived by his brothers, Edward Branch of Seymour, Indiana and Claude Chance of Dayton, Indiana; sister, Lucille Chance of Monahans; nephew, Christian Madrid; nieces, Devin Branch, Hannah Branch, and Jennefer Madrid; great-nephew, Owen Melton; and great-niece, Sofia Contreras.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 10 AM - 8 PM, and Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 9 AM - 9 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11 AM at Harkey Funeral Home with Fr. James Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Brad Hix, Tony Contreras, Christian Madrid, Daniel Almanza, Manuel Martinez, and Claude P. Chance, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
