Johnny Williams

May 21, 1945 — August 8, 2016

Johnny Barney Williams was born May 21st, 1945. He passed from this realm into the arms of His Heavenly Father and Savior on August 8, 2016.
Johnny graduated high School in Eunice, NM in 1963.
He married Alice Archer on March 25, 1967 and they had 4 children together. Johnny Graduated West Texas State University in May 1969 and shortly after dedicated his life to Working for the Texas Youth Commission where he served 30 yrs; mostly as a Superintendent. After many years of service he Retired in 1999.
Johnny had a contagious zest for life and he loved people exactly how God loves us - with no judgement.
Johnny is Survived by his parents, Bill and Erma Smith, his brother, Bobby Williams and Bobby's wife Patti. He was also survived by his 4 children: Whitney, John, Reagan and Ryan and their spouses - Randy, Anthony, Curt and Lesley. Johnny was also survived by his nephew and by 8 grandchildren.
In lieu on flowers the family requests that contributions be donated to the local food bank or Meals on Wheels.
Johnny lived his life by this example found in Mark 12:30-31. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Also, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday August 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at 1st United Methodist Church in Monahans, with Pastor Beth Herrington Officiating
