Juan Arredondo, 92, of Monahan’s, TX passed away on July 8, 2024 in San Antonio, TX. Juan was born in Sanderson, TX to Francisco Arredondo and Enemencia Ponce on November 24, 1931.
Juan’s life in Monahan’s TX is a testament to his resilience and dedication. He married his beloved wife Martha in a beautiful Vegas ceremony starting their 39-year marriage. For 37 years, Juan worked for TxDot, pouring his heart into every project. He also coached Little League for 31 years, inspiring young athletes and teaching them the value of hard work and teamwork. Juan's commitment to his community was evident in his 24 years of running the concession stand, bringing people together through shared experiences and joy. Juan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids.
Juan is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Arredondo, his mother, Enemencia Ponce and his son, Adam Arredondo.
Juan is survived by his wife, Martha Arredondo; his daughter, Ocoee Hicks and husband, Pat Hicks; his Brother, Joe Ponce and wife, Lupe Ponce, Rudy Ponce and wife, Irene Ponce; grandsons, Andrew Arredondo, Lindsey Griffin, Shawn Broaddrick, Jared Polanco, Fabian Welch, and Anthony Welch; granddaughters, Ashley Arredondo and husband, James Wesley, Kristal Lopez and husband, Alan Lopez, Victoria Bailey, and husband, Troy Bailey, Taylor York and husband, Scott York; great grandchildren, Alizah Ponce, Madysyn Wesley, Aubrey Arredondo, Kamryn Arredondo, Karter Arredondo, Karsyn Griffin, Presley Griffin, Kennedy York; great great granddaughter, Leilani Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Arredondo, Danny Armenta, Jared Polanco, Eddie Arredondo, Ivy Valenzuela, James Wesley, Lucas Rodriguez, Brett Palmer, Mario Arredondo,
Visitation will be on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 PM at St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Monahan’s Memorial Cemetery
