Juan Martinez Salazar

Juan Martinez Salazar, 93, passed away on Monday, January 15, 22024,024 in Monahans, TX.

Juan was born in Sanderson, Texas to Juan and Angelina Salazar on March 6, 1930.

Juan enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He sang with the choir for many years at St. John’s Catholic Church. As As well as, several activities for the Ward County Senior Citizen Center. He was an amazing cook and cooked for several restaurants and private events. He loved his crossword puzzles, drawing, and fixing things to his liking.

Juan is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Angelina Salazar, brothers Benino Salazar, Antonio Salazar, Roberto Salazar, Auturo Salazar, Reymundo Salazar, and Jose Salazar and his sister Maria Macintosh. Also, daughters Yolanda Barrera and Bertha Lomas.

Juan is survived by his wife Maria Salazar, sons Juan Salazar (Ninfa), Mario Salazar, Carlos Salazar  anSalazar andd Ralph Salazar, daughters Anna Chalambaga(Hector), Christina Valles(David), Angelica Ball and Julissa Singleton(Trey). He is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Martin Salazar and sisters Lupe Hagelgans and Ester Garza.

Pallbearers will be John David Valles, Jordan Munoz, Eric Salazar, AJ Fuentes, Tristan Fuentes and Jacob Reyes.

Visitation will be at Harkey Funeral Home on Sunday January 21st from 2:00 pm to 6:00pm with the rosary at 6:00 pm in the chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday January 22nd at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
