Judith Evans

July 14, 1953 — June 9, 2017

Judy Evans, 63, of Monahans, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 9, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Judy was born on July 14, 1953 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Oscar Theorine and Betty (Bonnell) Theorine. She married Gene Evans on September 13, 1980 in Denver, Colorado. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Monahans. Judy was a homemaker and worked several administrative positions. Most recently, Judy was employed as the Administrative and Financial Secretary for Southside Baptist Church. Throughout the years Judy never considered her position at Southside Baptist Church a job - it was more of a ministry to her. She retired in November. Judy was up early every morning and took her time getting ready for her day - never leaving home without makeup. She enjoyed crafting and was an accomplished painter. Judy loved working in her yard and flower garden. Judy never missed an opportunity to stop in at Wal-Mart or go shopping. Judy will be greatly missed by friends and family. More than ever, Judy took great joy in her family. She kept a special place in her heart for her four grandchildren who she loved very much. Judy is survived by her husband of 36 years Gene Evans of Monahans, Texas; two daughters, Michelle and Chad Hutton of Woodward, Oklahoma and Leanna Evans of Houston Texas; two sons, Rob and Gidget Walters of Friday Harbor, Washington and Shane and Amanda Evans of Cisco, Texas; four Grandchildren, Emily Walters, Kaedyn Evans, Caleb Hutton, and Hannah Evans; one sister, Olga Smith and two brothers, Gus and Liz Theorine and Victor and Robin Theorine, all of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Roy Theorine and John Theorine. Visitation for Judy will be held all day Friday, June 16, 2017, with family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas with Pastor Joshua Reiff and Pastor Craig Rhotan officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery in Monahans, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy's memory to Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas.
