Lisa Blanton

Lisa Pigmon Blanton, 61 of Odessa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her home in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Kermit, Texas with Rev. Dudley Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Cemetery.
Lisa was born in Monahans on October 18, 1956 to Rex and Nita Pigmon. She attended school and graduated in Kermit, Texas. She married John Blanton in 1977 and worked for their company, Texas National Machine Works before she and her daughter formed their landscaping company, The Lawn Rangers. She was actively involved in the family ranching business all her life and one of her greatest joys was her love for her animals.
She is preceded in death by her father Rex Pigmon.
Lisa is survived by her daughter Bonnie and her husband Richard Mendoza and the light of her life, her grandson Rhys. She is also survived by her sister Vicki, her mother Nita and special cousins Samann and Ty Watkins, Sam and Jerry Vest, Carolyn Redwine, Marilyn Meador, Rexann Holland, Belinda Mulligan, Vance Vest and a host of friends, other family members and her animals at home and her lifelong friend, Vanda Moore.
Pallbearers include Ronnie Miller, Jaime Garza, Scotty Bolf, Ty Watkins, James Sharp and Jay Anthony.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Rowe and Shane Warnick.
Memorials may be made to Best Friends Animal Society 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah and the Humane Society of Odessa or the Charity of your choice.
