Lydia Lindsey

Lydia Lyn Ransom McGuire Lindsey was born October 19, 1936 in a log cabin in Sequayah County, OK to Ruby Turner Ransom and Johnny Newton Ransom.

She graduated from Andrews High in 1955 and attended Sul Ross University. She taught school for 36 years and retired in 1998. Her favorite saying was "this ain't no dress rehearsal."

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Ruby Ransom; and brother, John D. Ransom.

Lydia is survived by her son, David McGuire and wife Allison of Ozona; daughter, Debra Chandler and husband William of Monahans; brother, Bobby Joe Ransom of Andrews; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11 AM in Ozona.
