Margarita Holguin

Margarita T. Holguin, 73, of Grandfalls, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 22, 1942 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose F. and Genoveva (Madrid) Torres.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Epolito H. Holguin.

Margarita is survived by her sons, Martin Holguin of Grandfalls, Hipolito Holguin of Abilene, Jose Holguin of Grandfalls, and Victor Holguin of Odessa; daughters, Rosario Peña and Angelica Garcia, and Eva Holguin, all of Grandfalls; brother, Ramon Torres of San Elizario; sisters, Maria Elena of Juarez, Mexico and Bertha Anaya of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 1 - 8 PM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church Fellowship Hall, with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 1 PM at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, followed by interment at Tamarisk Cemetery. Antonio "Tony" Peña, Omar Garcia, Martin Holguin, Jr., Hipolito Holguin, Jr., Ricky Holguin, Javier Holguin, Luis Holguin, and Diego H. Galindo will serve as pallbearers. Mathew Peña will be an honorary pallbearer.
