Margarita Pina

Margarita Pina de Tavarez, 86, passed away on May 7, 2018 at Medical Center Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Father Allan Alaka officiating.

Margarita was born on January 19, 1932 to Estevan and Petra Jimenez de Tavarez in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Salvador Pina on September 5, 1953 and had their daughter Olivia Pina Hernandez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Estevan and Petra, brothers; Octavio Tavarez, Elias Tavarez, and great grandson; Matthew Hernandez.

Margarita is survived by her daughter; Olivia Hernandez and husband Gilberto, grandsons; Gilberto Hernandez and wife Virginia, Hector Hernandez and wife Gloria, Ruben Hernandez, brother; Francisco Tavarez, sisters; Dora Aranda and husband Antonio, Edubina Ramos and husband Arturo, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Salvador Aranda, Ramon Aranda, Arturo Ramos, Jaime Tavarez, Antonio Aranda, Octavio Tavarez.
