Melissa Ann Espinoza, a vibrant soul whose infectious smile radiated love and joy, passed away on November 3, 2023. Born on July 19, 1970, in Midland, Texas, Melissa brought light and happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

With a spirit as vibrant as the colors she adored, Melissa was a crafty and talented artist who could transform ordinary materials into exquisite creations. Her nimble hands crafted everything from homecoming mums to wreaths, adorning the lives of those around her with beauty and creativity. Red and black were her favorite colors, reflecting her bold and passionate nature. Melissa's laughter was contagious, and she had a gift for bringing smiles to the faces of others. Her laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to experience it.

In honor of Melissa's remarkable life, a solemn Rosary will be held on November 10, 2023, at 7:00 PM, at the Harkey Funeral Home. Prior to the Rosary, a public viewing will take place from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM at the same location. Lastly, a Mass will be held on November 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Father Joe Officiating.

Melissa is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rodriguez; her father, Abundio (Butch) Espinoza; her older brother, Jackie Lee Espinoza; and her nephew, Michael Espinoza.

Melissa is survived by her daughters, Selena Balderas and Valerie Balderas; her mother, Emma Espinoza; her sisters, Joanna Thomas, Mary Helen Lopez and her husband, Santiago Lopez; and her brother, Jimmy Espinoza.

Melissa's passing leaves a void in the lives of her loved ones and the community she touched. We remember her compassionate heart, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will forever be cherished and fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

In this time of grief, our thoughts and prayers go out to her daughters, Selena Balderas and Valerie Balderas, as well as to all relatives and friends who mourn the loss of a remarkable woman.
