Norris Burrow

Wayne Burrow, age 76, and Janie Burrow, age 79, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 8th at First Baptist Church of Albany with Rev. Bob Knowles officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Burrow will be interred at the Albany Cemetery. Mr. Burrow will be interred in the Monahans Cemetery in Monahans, Texas. A visitation for both Wayne and Janie Burrow will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, October 7th at Morehart Mortuary of Breckenridge. A visitation for Wayne will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, October 9th at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, Texas.

Norris Wayne Burrow was born March 23, 1940 to parents, L.D. Ashley and Velma Marie Levett Ashley in Marianna, Arkansas. Wayne was self-employed, owned the Gulf Service Station in Monahans and in Wickett and also owned Wayne's Well Service in Wickett. Mr. Burrow enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and bee keeping. Janie Ruth Kennedy was born December 11, 1936 to parents, Earnest Kennedy and Era B. Hancock Kennedy. Janie graduated from Albany High School in 1952. Janie previously owned B.C. Service in Wickett. On October 2, 1982, Wayne and Janie were married in Marshall Ford, Texas. The Burrows owned and operated W.J. Oil. They made their home in Monahans until they moved to Breckenridge in 1996. Mr. and Mrs. Burrow were members of the First Baptist Church in Albany. They both loved to travel and always had a good time together on all their adventures. The Burrows were members of the Shifters Car Club in Albany and the Piston Heads Auto Club in Graham. They helped organize the annual car show as well as many other car shows around the area. They were also big fans of the Albany Lions and went to every game they could, even travelling to Houston and Dallas for the State playoff games the past two years.
Mr. Burrow was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carolyn Burrow; one brother, Wade Burrow; one sister, Jeannie Burrow. Mrs. Burrow was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roger Crocker; five brothers, Bob Kennedy, John Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Gilbert Kennedy, Eddie Wayne Kennedy; and two sisters, Maxine Hodges, Dorthene Bernstein.

Mr. Burrow is survived by three children, Lovida Hamilton of Midland, Terrie Bumpas of Odessa, Lora Jane Deckert and husband Jeff of Estacada, Oregon; and one brother, Ronnie Burrow and wife Bobbie of Odessa. Mrs. Burrow is survived by two children, Dena Crocker Perez and husband Patrick of Woodsboro, Russell Crocker of Seguin; and one sister, Earlene Ivy of Hobbs, New Mexico. They are both survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
