Onetta Mae Landry, 76, of Monahans, passed away peacefully at her son's home in Odessa, on July 1, 2026.

Onetta was born on September 10, 1949, in Seminole, Texas to BC and Cleta Guynes.

In her younger years, she enjoyed going dancing with her friend, Lorraine, and decorating cakes for friends and family. Onetta had an appreciation for Native American art. She enjoyed watching Western movies. She loved music, especially Elvis. Her favorite color was purple, and she adored her dog, Tinkerbell.

Professionally, Onetta worked in property management and was proud to earn her certified apartment manager and senior property management certifications.

Onetta was preceded in death by her parents, BC and Cleta Faye Guynes; her husband, Wayne Landry; and sister, Carolyn Stafford.

She leaves behind a sister, Ocie Faye Harbin, a son, and daughter-In-law; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Monahans Memorial Cemetery in Monahans, Texas.

Though she is no longer with us, Onetta’s love for her family, her unwavering faith, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
