Ortencia Guevara

Our Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother Ortencia (Tencha) Guevara, 64, of Monahans passed away on February 4, 2018 in Odessa, TX.

Ortencia was born in Stanton, TX to Ascension Valles and Eva Valles on October 23, 1953.

She married the love of her life David Guevara on August 5, 1972.

She is preceded in death by her father Ascension Valles, and half-sister Delia Romero.

She is survived by her husband David Guevara, her mother, Eva Valles, her daughters, Gloria Guevara(Hector Hernandez), Monica Soto, Dotsy Esparza(James Esparza), her sons, David A. Guevara and Joel Guevara, one sister, Sheila Martinez; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Monahans, Texas with Deacon Clemente Villa officiating, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David A. Guevara, Joel Guevara, Samuel D. Aguirre, Santos Guzman, Jordan Guevara, and Enrique Soto Jr.
