Ramon T. Flores, 91, of Monahans, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026. He was born on November 29, 1934, in Sarita, Texas, to Ernesto and Rosita Treviño Flores.

Ramon proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Throughout his life, he was a hardworking man who took great pride in building things and working with his hands. He worked as an instrument fitter/construction and was always happiest when he was busy doing something for his family or others.

Ramon enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He loved music and could often be found singing karaoke. He especially enjoyed taking his family out to eat, gathering with loved ones for a BBQ, and simply visiting and socializing with those around him. A devoted football fan, Ramon proudly supported the Raiders, although his wife was a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Family was one of the greatest joys of Ramon’s life. He leaves behind his son, Richard Flores Hernandez, and wife, Rhonell Hernandez; daughter, Janice Flores McCrohan and husband, Bill McCrohan; and his grandchildren, Kelli Valenzuela and husband, Jesus Valenzuela, Natalie Rojo and husband, Jonathan Rojo, Brenna Mackey and husband, Jared Mackey, Monica Mondell, and Ryan Flores; along with 14 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Ramon was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Genevieve Flores, who passed away in 2016; his daughter, Yvonne Flores Mondell; his parents, Ernesto and Rosita Flores; and siblings Maria Feightner, Jose Antonio Flores, Ernesto Flores, Concha Farley, and Emily Baese.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Harkey Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St John the Apostle & Evangelist Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers are as follows: Aidan Gavina, Abran Porras, Kane Flores, Richard Flores, Bill McCrohan, and Ryan Flores.

Honorary Pallbearers are as follows: Jonathan Leyva, Gustavo Meija, Marcos Lujan, Santana, Jared Mackey and Jonathan Rojo.

Ramon will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of family, his sense of humor, and the many memories he created with the people he loved. His family and friends will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
