Ramon Patino Munoz III, age 47, passed away on June 3, 2025, in Monahans, Texas. He was born on July 7, 1977, in Pecos, Texas, to Ramon Munoz Jr. and Guadalupe Patino.
Ramon was known for his larger-than-life personality — a jokester with a stubborn streak, a heart of gold, and a sharp sense of humor that could light up any room. He was the life of every party and someone who never hesitated to lend a hand, no matter who needed it. Whether he was firing up the grill for a BBQ, dancing the night away, cheering on his favorite teams, or enjoying a good cold can of Twisted Tea, Ramon lived his life to the fullest. He took pride in collecting baseball cards, fixing up his cars, and savoring banana pudding — one of his favorite treats. Above all, he was a proud “Pecos Eagle for Life.”
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Olga Munoz and Epi Patino, and his grandfather, Ynez Patino.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joann Armendariz; his children, Audriana Hernandez, Amber Munoz, Alyssa Munoz, and Miguel Munoz; and his beloved grandchildren: Hector Gonzalez, Mateo Munoz, Josiah Hernandez, Emily Hernandez, Ezra Hernandez, Benjamin Hernandez, Jaxson Cruz, Ruby Cruz, Julian Cruz, and Samuel Gutierrez. He is also survived by his father, Ramon Munoz Jr. and wife, Martha Munoz; his mother, Guadalupe P. Ramirez; his sister, Nina Munoz; his brothers, Pifi Montoya, Chris Munoz, and Fabian Munoz; his godson, Easton Montoya; his nephew, Anthony Morales; his niece, Allyson Morales, that he held extremely close to his heart and brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home, and again on Monday, June 9, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 9, at St. John’s Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10, at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
