Rhonda Denise Neill-Smith of Monahans passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in Monahans.
Rhonda was born on November3,1957 to JB and Wanda Larose (Austin) Neill in Midland, Texas. Rhonda grew up in Monahans and completed all 12 years of school. While in High School, Rhonda was in the Cosmetology Program that the High School offered at the time but after High School, she focused on raising her family. Rhonda was employed at the Monahans Managed Care Center where she completed her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificated and began her journey as a CNA. Even though it was hard work she enjoyed her job and cared about each resident as her own. While employed at the Monahans Managed Care Center she met her soul mate John Anderegg and settled down in Wickett where they called home for the last 25 years and she began her next journey as MeMaw. She was proud and enjoyed being a MeMaw as in her eyes her grandkids could do no wrong.
Rhonda was a very happy, kind, loving person. She enjoyed life to the fullest. But she really enjoyed being out with all her family in the backyard sitting by a fire pit, listening to good music, cookouts, BBQ, good grilled brisket, potato salad and all the fixings while drinking an ice cold beer with a cigarette. Rhonda loved her kids, she was a great mom and very proud grandmother and loved her sisters and brother very much. Rhonda will be missed by all those who loved and cherished her.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jackie Neill, and loving fur baby Hooch.
Rhonda is survived by her loving companion and soulmate John Anderegg of Wickett, son, Jason Neill of Fort Stockton, daughters, Cynthia Smith and her husband Michael Pressey of Monahans, Kristy Smith of Wickett, Paula Smith of Wickett, Raylynn Walker of Wickett, sister, Teresa Watkins and husband Cecil of Midland, and a brother Troy Neill of Wickett, grandsons Mason England, Kaleb Walker, and Malachi Suchil and granddaughter, Hailey Walker all of Wickett. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.
