Royce Sprouse

Pete Sprouse, 85, passed away January 23, 2017 in Monahans, Texas. He was born in Admiral, Texas on August 5, 1931 to Stephen Phillip Sprouse and Mary E. "Mays" Sprouse. Pete married Laura Jo Conn on August 17, 1950 in Baird, Texas, she preceded him in death in 2010.

Pete was raised in Baird, Texas, during the time Pete and Laura were newlyweds he worked at the ice plant. During the years he worked oil field rigs, and was a licensed water well driller. Pete was a member of Cornerstone Church in Monahans.

He is survived by two sons; Billy Jeff Sprouse and wife Rose Lea (Pience) Sprouse, Stephen P. Sprouse, one daughter, Jolene Sprouse Auburg, and three generations of grandchildren.

Pete is preceded in death by his Parents, wife Laura Jo Sprouse, six sisters; Thelma Green, Opal Shelton, Irene Walker, Ethel Abennathy, Mary Grace, Lottie Mae Jackie, three brothers; Bill Sprouse, Buck Sprouse, John Sprouse, one son; Johnny Sprouse, and one grandson; Johnny LeeWayne Auburg.
