Tommy Dale Watkins, 54, of Thorntonville, Texas, tragically passed away on March 28, 2026, in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Tommy was born on September 29, 1971, in Kermit, Texas, to Cecil Dale Watkins and Teresa Ann Neill. He was raised in Monahans and attended Monahans High School. Tommy spent his career working in the petroleum industry as a pumper, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Service will be held Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Chris Powell officiating. Burial to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Tommy enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a love for riding his Harley motorcycle, fishing, and spending time with his dog. He cherished cookouts, good times with friends, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and relaxing with a cold beer. He will be remembered for his laid-back nature, his loyalty to those he cared about, and the many memories he created with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil & Emma Watkins; his maternal grandparents, JB & Wanda Neill; her aunts, Jackie Neill & Rhonda Smith; cousins, Raylynn Walker and Tonya Burton.
Tommy is survived by his parents, Cecil & Teresa Watkins; his sons, Timothy (Katie) Whisenant & Anthony Whisenant; his brother, Kevin (Vanessa) Watkins; his beloved fur baby, Sarge; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Watkins, Timothy Whisenant, Troy Neill, Shelby Henson, Stephen Shell, and Todd Stidham. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Neill.
Services are entrusted to Harkey Funeral Home.
