William Gathing

William "Willie" Gathings, 62, passed away April 19, 2017 in Monahans, Texas. He was born in Graham, Texas to David Gathings and Geneva Mae Wilkerson Gathings on December 11, 1954.

Willie was a 32nd Degree Mason, Past Master Mason of the Imperial Masonic Lodge. He loved horses, listening to a variety of music & especially his dogs. Willie enjoyed to hunt, fish, play poker and have an all around good time. He enjoyed reading, all types of movies & playing pool. He was a good friend to all, a very giving man, and will be deeply missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his father David William Gathings, his mother, Geneva Mae Gathings, brother, Jerry Dean Gathings, and close friends, Marty Grant, Carl Grant & Bob Powell.

Willie is survived by his nephew, Jerry Gathings and wife Tiera, great nieces Magnee & Ferryn Gathings. Sisters, Linda Hall and husband Edward & Brenda McClendon. He is also survived by his extended family, Mike York and wife Charleen, Robert York, Chuck York, Robert D York, Sierra York, Keagan York, Zoey York, Larry Garrett and wife Connie, Jeannete Powell, LeeAnn Monday and Family, Martha Grant, Dottie Grant, Rick Cagle and wife Delane, Rick Choate and wife Joy, Steve Mclaren and wife Pam, Jeremy Pullen and wife Jacqueline, Zeth Davis and wife Carla, Joe Hall and wife Jennifer, Jon Bannister and wife Sharon, Leslie Gaona, and Robbie Bannister.
