William Huey

February 27, 1957 — March 10, 2018

William "Lynn" Huey, passed this world to live with his lord and family March 10, 2018, at Midland Memorial Continue Care Hospital. We called him by his nickname Lynn (or Leonard). He was a big ole teddy bear.

He was born on February 27, 1957 in Coleman, Texas to Dexter Lee Huey and wife Vera Audrey Hubbard. Lynn lived in Talpa, Texas, then moved to Sweetwater, Texas until his family moved to Monahans, Texas in 1968. He is a graduate of MHS Class of 1975.

He was a hard worker, working in the oilfield, and drove a truck for Chief and Transport for several years.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Don Huey, Raymond Huey, Sam Huey, a baby brother whom passed away at birth Bobby Huey, one nephew, and three nieces.

He is survived by his sister; Opal Mobbs and husband Steve of Tye, Texas, brother; Terry Huey and wife Debbie of Fort Worth, Texas, sisters-in-law; Beverly Huey of Monahans, Texas, Brenda Huey of Dallas, Texas, six nieces, two nephews, and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who loved him and missed him.

Lynn was a big ole teddy bear with a big ole heart who loved to watch Dale Earnhardt Sr race. Love you uncle Leonard Skynyrd.

Viewing will be held from 9:00AM to 1:00PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery Pavilion in Monahans, Texas with Malcham Williams officiating.
