William Rush

William C. (Bud) Rush, 86, passed away on January 26, 2018 in Odessa, Texas. Bud was born in Springfield, MO to Otis Cornilus Rush and wife Louella Ruth on January 22, 1932. He married the love of his life Lawanda Byrd Rush on June 10, 1954 in Monahans, Texas.

Bud was raised and schooled in Joplin, MO. He retired from Coca Cola after 30 years but continued to work for Dunagan Family. Bud also worked in the oil fields of West Texas in the 50's, he was a floor hand, derrickman, and driller. He was a devoted Christian, father, husband, and loved his country. Bud was on the Monahans V.F.D for many years. He was a Gideon, Deacon, and always a helping hand ready for the handicapped. Bud was an avid member of the First Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his loving son; Todd Rush, father; Otis Rush, mother; Ruth Rush, four brothers, and one sister.

Bud is survived by his loving wife; Lawanda Rush, two daughters; Vickie Gallander and husband Tommy, Patricia Bryan and husband Gary, seven grandchildren16 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous precious friends and family.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas with Dr. Charles Inman officiating.
