Eleazar Rocha

Eleazar Zapata Rocha, 51, joined our Lord and Savior on September 29, 2021, in Monahans, Texas. Eleazar was born on July 21, 1970, in Del Rio, Texas to Benito Rocha Sr. and Lorenza Flores Zapata.

Eleazar worked in the oilfield till he was injured. He later worked as a construction worker in the Dallas, Texas area. Eleazar was a very loving and kind person, one who would give his shirt off his back to help others. He was a clown, always joking around just to make others laugh. Eleazar loved traveling, working on cars, dancing, and listening to his favorite music; Vicente Fernandez and Conjunto Primavera. He loved calling all his loved ones on their birthday to sing “Las Mananitas” to them. Eleazar loved spending time with his family and even though he had one biological daughter he had several stepchildren that he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Benito Rocha Sr. and Lorenza Rocha, and one brother; Efrain Rocha.

Eleazar is survived by his loving daughter; Anessa Rocha, and one granddaughter; Sofia Marriana Heri of Halton City, Texas, three stepdaughters; Linda Acevedo, Angela Molina, and Enedina Coleman all of San Angelo, Texas, brother; Benito Rocha Jr. of Dallas, Texas, sisters; Anna Meza of San Angelo, Texas, Aurora Rios of Gresham, Oregon, and Yogi Marquez of Monahans, Texas, 10 nephews and nieces, and several great nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe officiating.

Pallbearers will be Charley Cavender, Benito Rocha Jr., Justin Marquez, Brandon Martinez, Michael Marin, and Joe Esqueda.
