Jackie Faught

June 25, 1927 — March 4, 2023

On a hot steamy night in 1927, a beautiful baby girl graced the world. Affectionately named Jackie Nadine Besselman, she tried multiple times to find a better name. Sometimes known as Jackie Morris , Jackie Heathington, Jackie Neese , and finally settling on Jackie Faught.
Jackie’s happiest memories come from raising her two children Linda Kay and Dennis Wayne (deceased). Just when she thought it couldn’t get any better, along came the caboose, Dorothy “Dottie” Jean.  Although 10 years late , she rounded out the trio Jackie always blamed for every wrinkle, every grey hair, and every time she peed when she sneezed. Her true joy came from spending time spoiling her amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jackie tried her hand at many professions during her 96 years including working at a dairy, an accounting firm, and a law firm. She finally decided to enjoy her years living off social security, coupons, and gift cards. She loved jokes and could tell stories with the best of them. Not to be called a fair-weather fan, she died still expecting the Cowboys to go to the Superbowl.
Jackie was a fun loving, kind, and caring lady who enjoyed bowling, playing bridge with the ladies, crocheting blanket squares with her church group, yelling at the TV while watching wrestling, and picking outfits to dress up the garden duck. Her true rewards were sharing her wisdom with those around her and outlasting every man she ever married. She gave it her best shot last a century, but was called home on March 4, 2023 at the age of 96.
Jackie was met at Heaven’s gates by her mother Josephine Besselman, sisters Billie Flanagan and Doris Markham, son Dennis Wayne Heathington, sons-in-law Terry brooks and Marty Grant and great grandson Jaden Davis.
Left to share her memories are her daughters Linda Kay Dew (husband Ken) and Dorothy “Dottie” Grant, grandchildren Deana Martin (husband Farrell), Kristi Gowdy (husband Jeromy), Terry Allen Brooks (wife Aaron), Jacqueline Pullen (husband Jeremy), Carla Davis (husband Zeth), Jennifer Meadors (husband Dee), Dana Brown ((husband Truman) and AJ Postell, Great grandchildren Austin Martin, Allyson Clines (husband Mike), Jace Gowdy, Jake Gowdy, Brooklyn Grant, Crystal “lulu” Davis, Marshal Davis, Weston Davis, Corbin Davis, Kaiden Hall, Saitlynn Hall, Klayton Hall, Caleb Brooks, Emmitt Pullen, Branda Brown, Jason Miller, Tylar Miller, and great-great grandchildren , Abel Clines, Bradyn Roy, Landyn Brown, Jayce Miller, Jaxon Miller, and Jetson Miller.
Services will be held March 13, 2023, 11:00 am at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo Texas.
