Louise White

Alma Louise White peacefully passed away December 3rd, 2021, Midland, Texas, at the age of 99 after a long, loving, and full life. Louise was born in Loraine, Texas, Eunice and Milton Hamilton on March 5th, 1922. Louise graduated from Pecos High School and shortly after married Oma Ray White of Mentone. Upon marrying in 1940, Louise and Ray lived in the Grandfalls-Royalty area until moving to Monahans in 1953 where they raised their fours son, Robert, Cecil, Johnny, and Bobby. With her husband Ray as the pilot, they enjoyed traveling in their plane to various locations where they sometimes played in golf tournaments together. Louise lost Ray early in her life, on February 7th, 1969, but continued to live in their home nearly 50 years. Louise cared for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren while also being a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Monahans where she taught Sunday School under the J.O.Y organization for many years. Louise enjoyed playing and competing in bridge tournaments with her many friends and volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the local nursing home. Her life was well lived.

Louise is preceded by her husband, Ray White, her brother, James Hamilton, and sisters, Lucille Tilley, Wanda Haynes, Deloris Walker and Doris Keplinger.

Louise is survived by Robert and Jeanine White of Clifton, Texas, Cecil and Marvilyn White of Heath, Texas, Johnny and Gail White of Orange, California, Bobby White of Monahans, Texas, and sisters, Jo Pattillo of San Angelo, Texas, and Evelyn Connie of Midland, Texas, and 51 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert White Jr., Tony White, James White, Timothy White, Heath White, and Seth White.

Viewing will be all day, with visitation time from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, December 10th at Harkey Funeral Home, Monahans, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 11th, at The First Baptist Church with Chris Powell officiating. Graveside will be a private event for the family only, thank you for understanding.
