Raymond Joseph Briseño, Jr. 60, of Monahans, Tx passed away on November 8, 2021.

He was a hardworking husband, father, and PawPaw.

Raymond was born on May 12, 1961.  In Alamogordo, NM to Maria V. Briseño and the late Raymond J. Briseño Sr.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Lucia of 34 years. His Daughter Marie and Son-In-Law Rex Thee of Monahans, Tx. His Sons Raymond J. Briseño III and Julian C. Briseño of Lubbock, Tx. His Daughter Desiree V. Briseño as well as his grandson Harrison T. Gonzalez of Lubbock, Tx.   He is also survived by his Mother Maria V. Briseño and siblings; Donna Chavez, Michael Briseño, and Patricia Briseño. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who love him so very much.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Briseño Sr. Grandmother Vicente Betancur, and paternal grandparents Margarita and Margarito Briseño.

Raymond graduated from Alamogordo Senior High School, in Alamogordo, NM.  He then attended New Mexico State University Alamogordo where he studied mathematics.

Raymond began his career in management with Anthony’s clothing store.  His love and passion for taking care of his customers helped him grow as a store manager which led him and his family to Artesia, NM and Monahans, TX. He managed Anthony’s, Bealls, and Lowes Marketplace as a produce manager in Kermit, TX and Monahans, TX.

Anyone that knew Raymond, knew him for his sense of humor, who always had a joke or a prank making those around him laugh.  He was also known for his T-top Gold Trans Am, with the eagle on the hood, and his love of music of all genres, but especially Rock N Roll.

Raymond loved his family and friends and most of all, his new role as Paw Paw to Harrison.  They could be found taking walks around outside hunting for treasures and little conversations on his lap at the supper table.

Raymond was loved fiercely by his wife Lucia.  Through her faith in the Lord she found the strength that was needed to take care of him, never leaving his side. “This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” 2 kings 20:5

Raymond loved his wife, kids, grandson, family, and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
