Rayna Kennedy

Rayna Kim Stallcup Kennedy, a long-time resident of Monahans, Texas, died on April 21, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas from complications following surgery. Rayna was born on January 24, 1964, in Lubbock, Texas.

Rayna was an LVN and had been the school para-professional at Sudderth Elementary School for the Monahans-Wickett-Pyote Independent School District, as well as serving as a school nurse for the Midland Independent School District. She was a dedicated fan of Oklahoma University Sooner football, so much so that she named her puppy Baker Mayfield. She will be remembered and celebrated for her terrific smile, her irrepressible honesty, her infectious laugh, her wry and mischievous sense of humor, and her love for her students and her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Franklin Stallcup, brother Gregory Micheal Stallcup, sister Kerry Leeann Stallcup, her paternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Stallcup of Odessa, Texas, and her maternal grandparents, Johnny, and Marie Means of Oklahoma.

She is survived by her son, Conner Ray Kennedy of Lubbock, Texas and her mother, Nancy Lee Means Stallcup of Newton, Texas.

Services were held at the Monahans, Texas at Monahans Memorial Cemetery on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to Days for Girls through their website at http://daysforgirls.org/ways-to-give/.
