Teclo Bustamantes

Teclo O. Bustamantes, 89, of Monahans, Texas passed away on September 7, 2021. He was born in Fort Davis, Texas to Teclo N. Bustamante and Eloisa O. Bustamante on November 21, 1931. Teclo married the love of his life and wife of 69 years, Gloria Silvas, in Fort Davis on May 14, 1951.

Teclo worked and retired from the West Texas Children’s Home after 25 years of service. He worked along side his wonderful wife all those years at the children’s home.

Teclo is preceded in death by his parents; Teclo and Eloisa Bustamante, son; Tony Bustamantes, siblings; Mary Lara, Inez Bustmante, and loving wife Gloria Bustamantes.

He is survived by his loving daughter; Norma Parras and husband Sabino Parras, siblings; Eleonora Rivera and husband Joe Rivera, Jesus O. Bustamante, grandchildren; Brian Bustamantes and spouse Brianna Pena, Brenda Bustamantes, Randy Valenzuela, Heidi Tobar and spouse Simon Tobar, great grandchildren; Miranda Granado, Brock Granado, Fox Bejeran, Mya Tobar, Korra Tobar, and Brandon Bustamantes.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bustamantes, Brenda Bustamantes, Randy Valenzuela, Heidi Tobar, Simon Tobar, and Brock Granado.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Joe officiating, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
